Tisza Automotive continuously strives to pay attention to the needs of its colleagues, with the aim that time spent at the factory is not exclusively about work. Accordingly, after March, which was dedicated to women, May was dedicated to men.
During this month, we ran two campaigns focusing on men. One of them was the LionMan campaign, in which our female colleagues had the opportunity to vote for the male colleague who inspires them the most at work and whom they look up to the most. Our second campaign was called Show Yourself!, where our male colleagues could send us photos of themselves doing household chores or enjoying their free time.
Dominance in the service of progress
Gender equality is a dominant topic of our time. Although there have been some positive changes in recent years and there are examples of successful and recognized female leaders, men are still dominant, whether in business, politics, or other areas of life.
In 2023, a true man is one who strives to put this dominance in the service of progress and uses it to help break down gender stereotypes by motivating female colleagues and facilitating their advancement. Here are some characteristics by which true LionMen can be recognized:
- Actively listens to women’s initiatives. He always pays attention to the ideas of his female colleagues, considers them objectively, and implements them if applicable.
- Uses his strength for good. He uses his influence to stand up for female colleagues, encourage them, and protect them in various conflict situations.
- Opposes sexism. When encountering such behavior among male colleagues, instead of joining in, he points out its offensive nature.
- Supports the advancement of female colleagues. If he works with an ambitious and talented female colleague, he helps her in her career development and advancement within the workplace hierarchy.
- Helps at home as well. He does not expect his partner to handle all household chores alone but also does his share.
